PUDDLE – Independent Multi-Genre Music Label

Upcoming & Current Releases

Koiwa – شیلنگ
Single – (PDDL046)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

This new introspective and minimalistic song by Koiwa was recorded using a special instrument, created during the experimental lutherie workshop dictated by Javier Bustos.
Layered subtly with the producer’s signature processed sounds, the sparse phrases are spectrally followed by an elusive phantom of sound. Silence plays a role of expectation and release, giving space for the next soft phrase to arrive elegantly.

Lu Glass – IVB
Single – (PDDL44)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

On her second single for her upcoming album ‘En la ribera de la noche plutónica’, Lu Glass showcases her signature dream/synth pop aesthetic but surprises us with an upbeat rhythm and danceable bass line.
The song slowly evolves into a psychedelic drum-fills section as Lu hypnotically sings ‘para poder seguir’ (which translates roughly to ‘in order to keep going’) and keeps growing into a dream-like wall of sound where various counterpointing synths take the lead role and eventually leave us with only the rhythm before ending and leaving us wondering what just happened.

Isabel del Bosco & Koiwa – Avenia
EP – (PDDL42)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

Avenia is the debut collaborative EP between the mysterious spiritual collective ‘Isabel del Bosco’ and ambient electronic music producer Cristián García Laborde AKA ‘Koiwa’.
On this sparse, warm and contemplative release, both parts bring the best from each of their worlds to create a succession of soft & melancholic melodies, ambient dreamscapes and drone-ish beat-driven hypnotic tracks. A lot of variety packed in four compositions that allow for multiple replays.

Maqueta – La Máquina de Golpes Bajos (Platitud Lados B)
LP – (PDDL40)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

Exactly one year after the release of ‘Platitud’, arrives the first compilation of B sides: leftovers from more than 50 tracks recorded and produced between 2020 and 2022 by Maqueta, experimenting with different ideas, production values and concepts. This collection of more lo-fi half-instrumental tracks give us a further insight into the creative process that ended up in the Platitud album, with standout tracks on their own merit.

Lu Glass – El fin del verano
Single – (PDDL037)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

‘El fin del verano’ (translates to the end of summer)’ is the second single for the
upcoming ‘En la ribera de la noche plutónica’, a name taken from the poem The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe. This immersive synth/dream-pop single narrates the cycle of
illusion and disappointment tied to meeting a new person after a heartbreak, intertwined with trips to the ocean and everyday life, where jinxes to make love more lasting are chased after. Her music alternates between nostalgic & psychedelic indie pop and instrumental soundscapes, with lyrics revolving around heartbreak and literary themes.

Selene Erbes & Koiwa ft. Chasys – NODO
EP – (PDDL036)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

Selene Erbes’ experimental flute playing is expanded upon by Koiwa’s minimalistic synths and exploratory live FX. They are joined by Chasys for a rework of each of the two tracks that this unconventional duo bring to the table, creating a sort of distorted mirror for their compositions and completing a quartet of tracks that are hard to categorise. Exactly what we like in music!

Chasys – Estación Secreta Nueva Boedo
Single – (PDDL034)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

On this third single for the upcoming album ‘Neo CABA 2’, Chasys presents us a calm ambient track which, with its ghostly kick drum and sidechained noise textures, creates a soft and hypnotising rhythmic and spacious composition. Contrasting strongly with the basement techno ‘MercadoCorp’ and the dreampunk, soundtrack-inspired ‘Starlink Mega-Surveillance System’, we’re once again side-curved by Chasys’ wide selection of genres for the upcoming 17 track album.

Elandro – DDkiteD
EP – (PDDL032)
Nina – Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

From ominous & mysterious to evocative and dreamy to sparse and gentle. In only 3 tracks, Elandro manages to traverse a huge variety of soundscapes and mind states. This EP dives deeper into the minimal yet elegant sound design proposed by the artist’s previous release ‘Exploración Sonora Nº0’. It would be a waste to write more for music that can say everything for itself, in a language that escapes words. Breath deep and dive in!

MAQ – Taiku (Live)
Live Album – (PDDL_031)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

On this live album, made out of excerpts from her Taiku show, MAQ demonstrates her dexterity as a performer, playing with her instruments as if they were part of a video-game, and therefore giving us an insight into one of her many faces as a composer.
But don’t be fooled by the playful nature of this music: the attention and care on the micro and macro structure can be appreciated on successive listens. We, at least, keep discovering more and more details on each play through!

DEEPFAKE – Voto de Silencio
Single – (PDDL029)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

With this single, DEEPFAKE closes a phase in his musical output. Starting with the sequence-driven EP ‘Captura de lo Efímero’, and then expanded through ‘Espectro Ciego’, his first release through Puddle, ‘Voto de Silencio’ adds a last comment to these musical statements, preparing for the next stage, which might be carried out with a different name or giving new significance to DEEPFAKE. In any case, this dramatic, sequence-based composition showcases once more Mariano Balestena’s ability to create incredibly evoking, emotional & dynamic tracks from sources sometimes deemed as in-expressive. On the contrary, expressiveness is vast and rich here, and transports the listener through a variety of emotions and sceneries.

Chasys – Starlink Mega-Surveillance System
Single – (PDDL028)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

”The giant, impenetrable mechanical door shuts automatically behind you as you walk out of one of MercadoCorp’s thousands of warehouses filled with Virtual Reality Pods & BioHost incubation Pods. The red and green neon lights blind you and, as you duck to throw up, you stare into a puddle of rotten water, where the reflection of hundreds of low flying satellites catch your hard-to-maintain focus. You stare up into the sky, almost losing your balance, and see the sky completely polluted with an horrendous amount of metallic junk, shinning their face-recognition lasers down on you. <Welcome to ‘Neo CABA 2’> you hear a voice in your head saying, and realise it’s the obligatory Neuralink chip on your brain transmitting an AI voice down from the overlooking surveillance satellite <Follow the rules, we’ve got an eye on you and everybody else, for everyone’s safety. You have 7 days to pay your debt to MercadoCorp, or your BioHost will be neutralised. NeuronDiscount Codes are accepted. We wish you a great stay>. You check your pockets: Nothing. Reluctantly, you jump out into the streets looking for answers.”

Chasys – MercadoCorp 法人
Single – (PDDL027)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

This basement techno single is a teaser for the forthcoming LP ‘Neo CABA 2’ by Chasys, which tells a story set 200 years in the future on the city of Buenos Aires, in Argentina. On this dystopian future, the wealthy can backup their consciousness to the cloud, to then be downloaded into a bio-host when they pass away. Our protagonist, referred only as ‘T.’ awakens on a virtual reality pod without knowing why he was backed up nor brought back, but with only a week to pay an exorbitant sum of money to MercadoCorp 法人, the corporation that runs the entire police-state. The protagonist then goes into the city to search for answers, and a much sought-after ‘Neuron Discount Code’ which could literally save his life. Through his journey we learn of many factions that clash on that futuristic society, all the contradictions and outcomes from our present are exacerbated on the future. The album will be accompanied by a fanzine including artwork and the full story. Stay tuned !

Flood 洪水 – Null Value
LP – (PDDL024)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

We’re happy to welcome the mysterious ‘Flood 洪水’ to our roaster of artists. The elusive producer sent us a behemoth of material, and asked us to start with the release of his lo-fi techno mini-LP which features a rework and collab by Chasys on two tracks.

This unapologetically distorted and busted in-your-face techno effort only stops momentarily to let a soft and minimal ambient piece go through, which will also reappear to close the LP as a rework, a kind of soft goodbye to the listener that manages to pull through the relentless and abrasive low end hammer that makes up ‘Null Value’

DEEPFAKE – Espectro Ciego
Single – (PDDL019)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

We’re very happy to welcome ‘DEEPFAKE’ to our label through this release, which works as a transition from his last EP ‘Captura de lo Efímero’ towards a new style-path, keeping part of the compositional mechanics from before but with a new aesthetic vision that goes beyond. Its abrupt and dramatic beginning contrasts perfectly with its posterior development, where the sounds become more sparse and leave room for a reflecting and emotional sound-field. A perfect example of how machines and synthesized sounds can carry an enormous sentimental and evocative charge. We’re already anxious to know what other sounds, atmospheres and aesthetics from Deepfake await us.

Elandro – Exploración Sonora Nº0
Single – (PDDL022)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

On his debut single through Puddle, Elandro delights us with a mysterious tribal and hypnotic beat with a dystopian and cinematic feeling to it. Its organic sounds and metallic pitched percussions add layers upon layers of satisfying rhythms and textures that will for sure transport the listener to a space outside of this time.

Maqueta – Pintores
Single – (PDDL018)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

On his third and final single for the his upcoming album ‘Platitud’, Maqueta shares the calm, soft paced and hypnotic ‘Pintores’, which serves as an oasis of rest in between the dense, wall-of-sound compositions from the album. It’s somewhat nostalgic beginning doesn’t prepare the listener for the epic, 60s & 70s psychedelic rock-jam-inspired ending, with its spaced out drum fills and melodic guitars, giving a happy closing to the song

Maqueta – La Semilla
Single – (PDDL017)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

On his second single for the upcoming album ‘Platitud’, Maqueta takes a hard turn from the dream-pop single ‘Imposible’ into a serpent-way of genres. It starts with a minimalistic electronic beat and a sub bass counterpointing the voice, and slowly transitions into a monochord bass with modulating chords on top, building up a wall of sound that eventually disintegrates into a dreamy choral arrangement and an epic math-rock ending. Even writing these words we got a bit lost, but we have one thing for certain: we liked the ride we were taken on !

Maqueta – Imposible
Single – (PDDL014)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

‘Open the dam’, the opening lines on his first release in over 5 years, couldn’t be more fitting words for this release, as it’s the first of many singles, EPs and Album(s) that will be released throughout 2024, after a long time of keeping them stored away.
The beginning of this nostalgic and psychedelic song, with a simple and catchy melody, contrasts heavily with the vocal play of the second part that, repeating syllables but alternating notes, ends up creating a hypnotic vocal arpeggio, that feel almost as a part of another song, while still counterpointing against the main melody.

Koiwa – Post Ambient
LP – (PDDL005)
Nina – Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

On his first full LP release through Puddle, Koiwa shares this massive collection of 14 immersive tracks that showcase his domain of evocative, slow evolving textures, drone soundscapes and noise layers that transport the listener into a fully contemplative state. It features five varied reworks of his single ‘smrsms’ by the artists ‘Matt Cianfo, ‘Pablo Reche’, ‘maeri, ‘Catu Hardoy’ and ‘Eric Olsen’ which mark the different stages of instrospection that this album has to offer.

Koiwa – Live at MACBA (Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Buenos Aires)
LP – (PDDL009)
Nina – Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

This mesmerising album was captured live during his sound activation for the exhibition MONTES NO VISIBLES (Órganos Inespecíficos) at MACBA on 30/09/23.
True to his nature, Cristián AKA Koiwa created an introspective audio journey for the spectators, blending his sounds seamlessly with the art pieces and making the whole space vibrate to his frequencies. With this release, the listeners can transport themselves into that space and time.

Chasys – En Bici de Noche
EP – (PDDL047)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

‘En Bici de Noche’ which translates to ‘On the bike at night’ is a short album made up of instrumental beats with an overall positive and happy energy, at times leaning on the mysterious, acting as a soundtrack for riding your bicycle on a hot summer night through the city, dodging cars, running into annoying cops and enjoying the soothing effect of the breeze, feeling the freedom of youth and the long night full of possibilities.

Juliana Kaiser – Estuario
EP – (PDDL045)
Nina – Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

Juliana Kaiser’s debut EP through Puddle is an ode to the ‘Río de La Plata’ with all of its sociopolitical & environmental contradictions. On it, field recordings from the river and its surrounding areas intertwine with subtle and minimalistic synth lines creating a gentle narrative where the listener is free to navigate the space and complete the landscape with what is suggested but not said.

maeri – Bicha
EP – (PDDL043)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal – Nina
Visualiser for ‘Polillas‘ here

‘Bicha’ showcases maeri’s exploration of the intersection between ambient music, field recordings and computer-manipulated sounds. With an overall serene tone, it invites the listener to slow down and listen to the nuances of each sound, to subtle layers of instruments almost hidden in the arrangement, as suggested ideas rather than obvious statements.
The hypnotic semi-filtered loop of ‘Polillas’, the transformative journey underwater of ‘Paisaje II’ and the soft wind-chimes of the field-recorded ‘Cicada’ all propose different scenarios, yet they belong to the same cohesive body of work. Dive in !

Federico Orio – Santa Rosa
Single – (PDDL041)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

Santa Rosa is a suite composition for church bells, arranged in album format for an interrupted and immersive listening experience, by composer & percussionist Federico Orio, recorded at the church ‘Santa Rosa de Lima’ on the day that commemorates the birthday of the saint that gives name to it.
The sound of the holy, gigantic bells striped of their sacralised context, leaves us with immense, bronce percussion instruments, with their harshness & sweetness, resonating tones and scratchy mechanics. This special and out-of-the-ordinary album lends itself specially for a deep listening experience that can work as a soothing experience. Don’t miss out on it!

ZXZO – Analema ft. El Príncipe Idiota & Hernán Giorcelli
Single – (PDDL039)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

Analema marks the return of producer ZXZO 5 years after his last release. With a mature, minimalistic & elegant production style, this new composition delights us with clarinets, soft synths and curated textures, providing a soundscape narrative that keeps us eager for more. Rest assured that from the label we’re pushing ZXZO for more material soon!

BALESTENA – Tapé tu oído para pronunciar el secreto
EP – (PDDL038)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

“Tapé tu oído para pronunciar el secreto” is a tryptic composition of emotional and personal characteristics. The sound palette is made up of micro percussions, bright synths and electric bass. Through hyperactive, syncopated sequences we arrive at a euphoric & intense result, which speaks to the dichotomy between the mysterious interior and the interpersonal exterior.

Juliana Kaiser – Otra Orilla
Single – (PDDL035)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

Juliana Kaiser’s second single for her upcoming debut EP through Puddle, showcases another angle of her depiction of the ‘Río de La Plata’ with all its cultural, sociopolitical & ecological contradictions. Once again field recordings and subtle & hypnotic synthesiser lines meet to create a nuanced narrative that brings the listener into this unique and picturesque world.

Flood 洪水 – Useless Technocrats
Single – (PDDL33)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

The mysterious producer is back, this time with an EP including three minimal & atmospheric techno tracks, keeping Flood’s signature lo-fi sound based on sampling everyday objects and running them through cassette recorders, vintage samplers and hacking drum machines. This time, a layer of ominous pads & irregular loops join the party, for a more somber overall tone. The future is here, and it isn’t pretty.

Koiwa – Ōsutoraria
Single – (PDDL30)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

On this techno single, Koiwa waves a very elegant goodbye to his ambient journey, embarking on a smasher & banging dance track co-produced & mixed by Disonar, a collaborator who remixed one of his previous releases, by then already glimpsing at the possibility of this direction. By jumping back into this terrain, Koiwa reconnects with the roots of his musical revival, which goes back to playing drums on the electronic trio Lujo Asiático, where he excelled at pushing dance, electronic & hypnotic rhythms. One can only wonder what a traditional Koiwa listener will experience, drifting from ambient piece to dronish noise, to then be thrown into this unapologetically banging techno. Very cool stuff, we love it.

DEEPFAKE & La Viya Real – Espectro Ciego (La Viya Real Remix)
Single – (PDDL026)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

On this remixed single, La Viya Real delights us with his revamping of DEEPFAKE’s mysterious ‘Espectro Ciego’, incorporating beats, new sections and a completely new feeling to the track, while also paying homage to the original. This fun and hard hitting banger works also as a stepping stone towards DEEPFAKE’s upcoming single ‘Voto de Silencio’, which will serve as a trilogy closer for this era of his music.

Selene Erbes & Koiwa – ސެލީން ކޮއިވާ ރީޔޫނިއަން އެވެ
Single – (PDDL025)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

This single marks the first collaboration between the flute player Selene Erbes & the ambient producer Koiwa, where they sink into an experimental and expansive journey through pitching and mutating pads, melodic and sometimes atonal flutes, and a lush undertone of effects which give room to a gentle, jet wall of sound production. This is the first of several compositions that this duo will bring to us, and we’re excited to share them all with you soon!

Juliana Kaiser – Reunión
Single – (PDDL023)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

About her debut single through Puddle, Juliana writes:
”Reunión is made up of field recordings taken from an entire night at the Rio de la Plata’s estuary (from dusk till dawn) in February 2024, and an analog bass synth. It’s the first track from an EP that delves into the Río de la Plata and the sociopolitical processes around its territory. At night, the estuary has birds, insects, parties in yachts, fishermen, motors, capybaras and fish. It feels at times like a violent party, and also like the calmest place close to the city. ”

Maqueta – Platitud
LP (PDDL021)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

Platitud, a neologism in Spanish for the english word ‘Platitude’, meaning ‘A trite or banal remark or statement, especially one expressed as if it were original or significant’, is Maqueta’s first album in 6 years.
With an outward look towards the world instead of towards the inside, and partly created during the pandemic, this album is full of observations and criticisms towards the powers that control us, that shape and tilt our opinions, that strip us from our humanity.

Koiwa & Nicolás Aimo – Dikarya
LP – (PDDL020)
Nina – Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

We’re very happy and honoured to co-release this album alongside 梅レコード (Umé Records). On this collaborative release, Koiwa & Nicolás Aimo combine their musicalities and ambient expertise to create a deeply introspective and very finely polished soundscape trip. Textural, melodic and even showcasing deep, resonating rhythms, this LP shows the maturity of two artists giving room to each other’s ideas that mix seamlessly into one, unified aesthetic.

Koiwa – Peña
Single – (PDDL015)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

This album, captured during the session performed at ‘Peña’ by Koiwa, showcases both sides of the ambient producer: On one hand, his ethereally curated expansive and dreamlike pads & textures are present, while on the other, his more experimental noise and drone tendencies have free reign, washing over the listener as a giant wave of sound, sometimes gentle, sometimes abrasive. This two-faced album is perhaps his most disruptive, and yet the most inviting for deep listeners that want to be taken on a sonic trip.

Nicolás Aimo – Ras
Single – (PDDL012)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

We’re so happy and honoured to welcome Nicolás Aimo to our community, announcing his upcoming, first release through Puddle.
On this new single, Nicolás creates a deep and hard hitting, yet ethereal and hypnotic, downtempo banger. Just when you think you’ve got the song figured out, it takes a turn for the unexpected, removing the floor from under the feet of the listeners, but with the gentleness of keeping them floating without weight, descending slowly into a nostalgic and evocative trance.

Koiwa – smrsms (Disonar Remix)
Single – (PDDL008)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

We’re so happy to shared this smashed banger by Disonar, based on Koiwa’s ‘smrsms’ single. On this remix, Koiwa’s ethereal and spaced out pad serves as a backgrop for Disonar’s relentless and unforgiving drums and textures, which eventually give way to the softest dreamscape, a lush open field of frequencies that elevate the listener to a blissful state, just before the drop brings us back to an epic and inspiring ending. Truly a gem, and what we hope will be the first of more collaborations between Disonar & Puddle.

Ariel Schlichter – The Rip (Original Short-Film Soundtrack)
Mini EP – (PDDL007)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

We’re excited to share this mini collection of small tracks composed for the short-film documentary ‘The Rip’ by Martín Nitram, showcasing the process of a mural removal and conservation using the antique Italian technique ‘strapo’.
The tracks, composed using asmr-like sounds from the film itself like ripping, folding, scratching, etc, produce a collection semi-glitch, ear-candy tracks that will surely tickle the fancy of the attentive listener.

Chasys – Digital Voltage
Single – (PDDL003)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

Chasys’ new single marks a departure from his dreamy ambient-electronic debut LP ‘Decomposition Method‘ (Released on Lassi International). On his first release through Puddle, Chasys explores the darker tones of an evolving, aggressive and sometimes even distorted sequence. However, upon its self-destruction, the sustained distortion becomes a warm blanket of gentle sound.

Ariel Schlichter – FUME
LP – (PDDL002)
Nina – Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

We are proud to re-release Ariel Schlichter’s eclectic soundtrack for FUME, a platform video-game created by Javier de Azkue and Luis Cruz under their design company ‘Estudios Del Umo’. With a variety of genres from IDM to ambient, all the way through lo-fi beats and sound-design, this release proves to be much more than a soundtrack, becoming it’s own listening experience.

Chasys – Tunnel Mountain
LP – (PDDL006)
Nina – Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

On this LP, constructed in its entirety by heavy processing of field recordings and vinyl samples, composed and produced during his 2018 residency at the Banff Centre for Arts & Creativity, Chasys sets out to explore a palette of calm, slowly evolving pad-like textures, overlapped with various layers of sound-design, dream-like (and sometimes noise-like) textures, giving the listener a warm and surrounding pillow of sound to relax and get lost in for a few minutes.

Koiwa – smrsms
Single – (PDDL004)
Bandcamp – SoundCloud – Tidal

On this second single, paving the way for his first full LP to be released through Puddle, Koiwa creates a much more sparse, open and spacious ambient track, that will surely relax and calm the listener with it’s contemplative release-filled silences, much in contrast with his first drone single, showcasing his capacity to create very different, yet always hypnotic tracks.
